Middleton Child Contact Centre

TERMS OF CONTACT


This sheet sets out the terms on which the Middleton Child Contact Centre is available for use:
 

1. These terms incorporate the "Code of Behaviour" which will be displayed at the Centre and is attached hereto/overleaf.

2. The Centre is available alternate Saturdays 9:00 am - 11:00 am at the Upper Room Christian Centre,
    22 Middleton Gardens, Middleton (above the Northern Rock).

3. Use of the facility will be available once a referral has been completed and confirmation of availability having been given.

4. All relevant details as required on the referral form must be disclosed to the Centre Coordinator and any change in
   personal details or contact arrangements must be notified immediately to the Centre Coordinator.

5. The Centre is available both as a "hand over point" and as a place where contact can take place.

6. The Centre reserves the right to refuse use of the Centre:

a) if the respective parties fail to accept agreed arrangements;

b) if any visitor appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs or attempts to bring alcohol or drugs into the Centre;

c) if any visitor uses abusive or threatening behaviour;

d) if visitors fail to observe the no smoking policy operating throughout the building.

7. The Centre is not providing supervision or monitoring of contact for the purpose of legal proceedings concerning contact
    with child(ren). If this is to take place in the future it will only be after specifically obtaining informed consent from all
    parties concerned.

8. Children are the responsibility of their parents and/or the adult accompanying them while they are using the Centre.
    Adequate supervision should be provided by such person at all times when the Centre’s facilities are in use. A parent
    must remain on the premises when a child is present, children can not be left unattended at the Centre (even when
    parents have asked not to meet each other).

9.  If one party is unable to attend the Centre they shall notify the other party in advance of the visit, and leave a message
    with the Centre on the Friday before, or the Saturday of the cancelled visit.

    It is not the Centre’s role to chase families to attend. However, if one party can not attend and fails to notify the other party,
    or the Centre a confirmation notice of non-attendance will be issued which, if applicable, may be used in evidence if a Court
    order is being breached.

10. Any suggestions as to the future improvement of the Centre would be gratefully received.

11. Any complaint as to the running of the Centre or any member of staff should be made to the Centre Coordinator in writing.

12. No volunteer will give evidence for any party at a court hearing.
 

We confirm that we have read and understood these Terms of Contact and
‘Code of Behaviour’ and agree to be bound by their terms.

This Form is to be signed by all parties on the first Contact visit at the Centre
